founded in 2003 to meet the needs of the Community Banking Industry. Over
the past 20 years, StoneCastle has been a leader in delivering Funding
Alternatives to scores of U.S. banks, and the firm has been an endorsed
partner of the ABA's Corporation for American Banking. Joshua Siegel,
Founding Principal of StoneCastle, and Edward Rochford, Principal of
Marina Bay Capital, have had a 20+ year working relationship together
in the Community Banking sector.
Mr Rochford is the Principal of Marina Bay Capital. His career spanned
over 35 years with various Wall Street firms including Tucker Anthony,
Salomon Brothers, Smith Barney, Citigroup Global Markets, and Janney
Montgomery Scott. Ed specialized in Institutional Fixed Income sales to
Banks, Funds, and Asset Managers. While at Citigroup, Ed also worked
with Joshua Siegel's Structured Products Group which developed the very
first Pooled Trust Preferred (TRUPS) program. The team structured and
placed Preferred Transactions in which over 500 Community Banks issued
about $4 Billion in securities which were exchanged for Regulatory Capital.
In 2003, Mr. Siegel left Citigroup to establish StoneCastle Partners.
In 2018, Mr Rochford formed Marina Bay Capital to source and match
Community Banks with Stonecastle.
